BRINGING “BIG OIL” TO THE BIG APPLE

An article published in the LatinLawyer publication highlights the collaboration between Almeida Advogados and American law firm Wolf Popper in the filling of a Class Action against Petrobras. The action was filed in the United States last December due to the high sophistication of American laws and courts in the area of corporate governance and securities compliance. The article enhances how the investors who acquired ADRs may seek through the Class Action a way to recover the damages suffered as a result of financial misstatements issued by Petrobras´management.
