APPOINTMENT OF ANDRÉ DE ALMEIDA AS VICE-CHAIR OF THE LATIN AMERICA AND CARIBBEAN COMMITTEE OF THE ABA (AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION)

André de Almeida, founding partner of Almeida Advogados was appointed last Tuesday, June 2, 2009, as Vice-Chair of the Latin America and Caribbean Committee of the ABA (American Bar Association).

 

In this position, the law firm Almeida Advogados, by means of its founding partner, will represent the activities of the association in the region, making the connection between all ABA members and the headquarters of the organization, in Chicago.

 

Additionally, Almeida will have the duty of monitoring the activities of the committees for discussion of several areas of Law, approving requests, inclusion of new members, and coordinating the edition of the monthly newsletter concerning legal activities in the region.
